Ufo media cries out loud 'We want proof' 'We want evidence' yet when its given you run away and hide!!!

Hi Thevoice!
I hope you are well?!
(i'm going to start saving for that trip BTW)!

Can you tell us of any examples of this Tv? LIke Russ has said, the only time i've seen 'UFOlogists' 'run away' is when they don't believe that a particular sighting is a genuine one (i've done it myself- see Ufomagazine forum, General UFO chat, Ufo plane crash video.) I remember seing the programme 'live'a nd the crash was on the National TV news within the hour. I KNOW there wasn't any UFOs, (they replayed the tape quite often, Birds 'n all! In fact, I remember speculation that it had been a 'bird-strike' which had caused the crash, as there had seemed to be rather a lot of them flying around. Now years later, some people who were either not orn at the time/too young/ or were never into the subject, 'find' a footage showing an Air-crash at a show, see 'black spots' flying around and....HEY PRESTO! more evidence of alien intervention. The origianl pictures on the National TV news were even clearer than the one's we now have to view on the web. It's no wonder really people get confused about what is real and what is not.

Going back to the Origianl Disclosure Project video....yes, it's slightly coloured my judgement about what Mr S greer is up to. Thanks to Russ for openly ststing that he thought SOME of the subjects were a bit 'iffy'...I thought the same thing two (but only with about 3 of the people filmed)!

Soory about the long reply/htoughts, but i'm on my luchtime, and the system is sooooo slow to update a page that I have to make the best of which page i'm viewing!!
See you all tonight!!

Hi there, good, you will not regret it, give yourself at least a month over there if you can.

Examples?

Well lets see, firstly about the '74 encounter, even though there were two main witnesses (both of us BUFORA Investigators) 3 secondary witnesses plus the close range object left a heck of a lot of tree top damage, this case is virtually unheard of! We reported it directly to BUFORA NIC at the time Ken Phillips, I even sent a full copy with photos of traces to MoD in London and to Prof. Hynek at CUFOS USA.

The report was covered in the BUFORA journals for summer and autumn of '74 thanks to then editor Norman Oliver.
After that the whole thing was swept under the carpet, I faced ridicule and scorn for daring to not only see something but have the audacity to report it!!

It gets worse but thats enough for now.

Second example, during the 90's when I'm disclosing into the public domain. No mainstream mag/journal wanted to know, all except one, that being "Ufo Reality" mag edited by Jon King. I had many emails, a few letters and numerous lengthy phone calls with Jon re my disclosures. The mag unfortunately, like others, went belly up but he used my material in his book "Cosmic Top Secret...The Unseen Agenda".
A very volatile book.

Other researchers over the years have detailed some of my ufo work in their books, particularly Jenny Randles, I've known her since 1976. I also know Nick Redfern, Tony Dodd, Tim Good and a host of others, know them not of them.
Since 1979 I have been in over 40 books globally, been in countless newspapers and magazines, been on TV and Radio globally.
I'm only mentioning this because I want people to know I have a background in the ufo subject, one which goes back 40 years.
A lot of my ufo work can be found within the pages of FSR mag and BUFORA journal, mostly 70's.

I've said enough I think.

Hi Mate!

Do you really think they swept it uner the carpet then?
Why do you think that was, I would have been annoyed if i'd gone to the trouble of reporting something to a UFO mag/group and nothing happened!

Do you think all this 'running away' still applies today...or do you think it's better now?

Whilst i'm here, and since you brought the name up... was Jenny Randles for real?
I only ask,(and i'm not 'dissing' her here, just an opinion you understand), because originally, I thought she was as good as an investigator as anyone else at that time, (looking back, probably because she SEEMED to be the only featured on TV a lot).

After a few years though, most of her 'judgements' (in my mind)re.sightings etc, never seemed to be good enough for her. Nearly all (sightings) seemed to be dismissed with a logical explanation and often left very little room for any doubt whatsoever.

The more I saw her on TV stating such-and-such was a bolide meteor, the more I actually believed that she was a 'plant' by the 'powers-that-be' to disrepute the whole genre, in fact sometimes she seemed more 'anti-ufo' than most debunkers, (like I said, this is just my impression you understand). Also- and I can't really ignore this fact- I felt that it didn't really help the subject when she came out about her sexuality, (though it certainly WAS brave to do so...and via the media to boot), as it just seemed to take away the spotlight on the subject matter at hand, and instead focus on to her, (mostly not all that favourably given the times...at least things have improved slightly somewhat).

Since you've known her for a while (BTW; does she still follow the subject , I've not heard her name mentioned for a while except in this forum), I just wanted to know what your 'take' on her is/was, but only if you don't mind of course?

Perhaps not so much these days. I think around the early 90's a few researchers detailed their experiences, some in books, and these were accepted as such by the ufo community. It was then 'ok' to not only have experiences whilst being a researcher but you could actually talk about it without the ridicule. Pity that was not the case in the 70's. As far as Jenny goes, she has always been helpful, usually covers some of my cases in her books when she writes em. I have to agree re her being very anti at times. In the early years she was sitting on the fence, many times I would tell her to damn well get off that fence and say what you really think. Then she became more and more 'its all plasma, aircraft, natural phen. etc etc' That peed off a lot of people. Have not spoken to her since around maybe 6 years now, when she tried to bring UFOIN back to life. By coming out publicly with her sex change well, maybe it was not too bright an idea. The media looked at that and 'knew' the subject was full of cranks!!
Being ignored, ridiculed and scorned was not easy. I fought back and by 1977 was one of the countries top researchers.

No my material was not used in the mag itself, that closed down before he had the chance. I'm not sure of the page numbers but its there listing my real name and TheVoice, cannot miss it!!

Yes, I didn't want to say the 'C' word before, but I have to admit, that's the impression I got too, glad I wasn't the only onewho wondered about her 'explanations'!!

Good for you for fighting back though!
Any idea when your site will be 'fully operational'?

All it takes is time, and with me now being disabled, a heck of a lot of pain, I do not know when I can put time in on the site. I will get there eventually, my last one was closed down 2 years ago. I do have a full up and running forum too.

LOL we all knew about it but were too polite to mention it. Was not till years later that she was comfortable enough to let it crop up in conversation.
